The Hetricks insist on treating their guests as family. Any forgotten item, need or special something missing is readily available. Three young adults - Willow, Teal and Corey - have a lifetime of experiences to share with guests and are willing to accompany the new adventurer.

The Inn is surrounded by 9 private acres with a circular panoramic view, a private tennis court, a regulation golf green with multiple tees for play or practice and a private pond with fishing opportunities.

Tern Lake Inn is located 90 miles south of Anchorage and 36 miles from Seward and the Kenai Fjords National Park, the Alaska Sea Life Center, Harding Ice Field, and Exit Glacier. It is also only 15 miles from Cooper Landing and 45 miles from Portage a gateway to the Prince William Sound.

In the immediate area, there are a myriad of outdoor opportunities readily available such as sport fishing for halibut and salmon, rafting, dog mushing, hiking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, vehicle or boat tours and helicopter and plane tours.
